Man charged after death of York teenager Poppy Rodgers

Detectives investigating the death of 16-year-old Poppy Rodgers in York, in the early hours of the 20 April 2012, have charged a 24-year-old local man with supplying her with a Class A controlled drug (4-methylamphetamine).

 

He has also been charged with another count of supplying a class A drug, four counts of attempting to supply a Class A drug and possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.

He is due to appear at York Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 31 October 2012

Detective Chief Inspector Nigel Costello, of North Yorkshire Police, said: "The thoughts of North Yorkshire Police are with Poppy's family and friends who have shown great dignity in these difficult times."
