There are fears a bridge in Tadcaster could collapse after the River Wharfe broke it's banks there.
Water is being pumped from Bridge Street, which is closed.
Structural Engineers are worried that the bridge may not be able to cope with the force of water coming down the river.
The Environment Agency think the river is at its peak and may not rise anymore, but it is just half an inch from breaching its banks.
They say they are quietly confident that the water won't rise anymore.
The main concern now is for local businesses.
It comes as floods continue to cause chaos in parts of North Yorkshire.
A forty mile stretch of the A1m is still closed - and there a big problems on roads across the region.
