Flood warning for York
4:51pm 30th November 2009
The sand-bags are out in York, as the Environment Agency warns flooding could happen because of rising river levels.
Rowntree Park and St George's Field Car Park are already closed.
The City of York Council has erected sandbag defences at Peckitt Street, Tower Gardens and Tower Place.
It's predicted the River Ouse will rise to approximately 4.5 meters above normal summer levels tomorrow.
It's expected to hit that peak at 7am.
