Fabulous Frankel Lights Up The Knavesmire

6:06pm 22nd August 2012

The awesome Frankel made a seamless transition from Mile to Middle Distance, crushing his rivals over the extended mile and a quarter in the Juddmonte International Stakes in York to win this afternoon (Wedneday 22nd August 2012) by an easy seven lengths.

He beat Farhh and St Nicholas Abbey.

The world's best racehorse extended his unbeaten career record to 13 races and whether his official rating will change will be known tomorrow morning (Thursday 23rd August 2012).

Currently Frankel's rated 140, he could now match or top Dancing Brave's all-time high of 141.

His final race is likely to be the £1.3m QIPCO Champion Stakes, the highlight of QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday 20th October.

Tom Queally is now just 20 points behind Joseph O'Brien in the Jockey of the Series table, while Sir Henry Cecil is third in the Trainer of the Series table.
