Claims of a Breastfeeding Scandal in York

11:34am 22nd August 2012

A York pub's been criticised for allegedly asking a woman who was breastfeeding to leave.

The woman was so upset at what she claims happened at The Terrace on Fossgate that she complained to the York Hospital Trust.

Well we've been in touch with The Terrace, its owner Paul Gardiner gave us his account of events.

He says he doesn't discourage breastfeeding and the issue was more to do with a company policy.

Paul claims he asked the woman to leave because she and her friends weren't ordering food.

Take part in our quick poll and tell us, is breast-feeding in public acceptable?
