Malton Man Killed In Crash

A 53 year old man from Malton's died in a car crash near Driffield.
It happened just before 6 o'clock last night on the A614.
Another driver, a 44 year old man from Bridlington, was also injured in the head-on collision.
He's been airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary, where he remains in a serious condition.
Details from Humberside Police
A man has died and another is in hospital with serious injuries following a road traffic collision on the A614 at Ruston Parva near Driffield.
The incident happened at approximately 1750hrs yesterday (Wednesday 15th August).
A blue Renault Megane driven by a 53 year old man from Malton, North Yorkshire, was travelling northbound along the A614 from the direction of Driffield heading towards Bridlington.
A silver coloured Ford Focus C-Max driven by a 44 year old man from the Bridlington area, was travelling in the opposite direction.
The two vehicles were involved in a head on collision which tragically resulted in the death of the Renault driver from Malton who was pronouced dead at the scene.
The Ford driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment where he remains in a serious condition.
The road was closed until shortly before midnight to allow emergency services to access the scene and then to enable police collision investigators to examine the location.
Police are investigating the collision to establish the circumstances and are seeking witnesses to the incident.
