Arrests after a man is stabbed to death in West Yorkshire

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder in West Yorkshire.
20 year old Joshua Hirst was stabbed to death in Mirfield on Friday night.
A 22 year old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
West Yorkshire Police Statement:
This is an update in connection with the murder of a 20-year old Mirfield man on Friday 3 August.
Late last night (Saturday 4 August) police arrested three people in connection with the murder.
Two men aged 21 and 18 have been arrested on suspicion of murder. A 22-year old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three are currently in custody being interviewed by detectives.
A post-Mortem carried out yesterday has revealed the cause of death of the deceased to be stab wounds. The 20-year old victim can also now be named as Joshua Hirst of Mirfield.
Enquiries into the murder are ongoing and detectives are still appealing for anyone with information to contact the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team via 101.

A murder investigation has been launched after a 20-year old Mirfield man died last night.
At around 11pm on Friday (3/8), police were called to Hepworth Lane, Mirfield after the 20-year old was found with stab wounds to his body.
Paramedics also attended and the 20-year-old was taken to hospital. He sadly passed away a short time later.
A murder investigation has now been launched by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team and a post-Mortem will take place later this morning.
Enquiries into the murder are at an early stage and detectives are appealing for anyone who saw suspicious activity in the Grove Street or Hepworth Lane area of Mirfield before 11pm to contact them.
