Pickering police appeal for information following museum vandalism

Police are investigating an incident of criminal damage at a Pickering museum.

It occurred overnight between 5pm on Tuesday 22nd May and 9am on Wednesday 23rd May 2012, at the Beck Isle Museum of Rural Life.

Someone has removed iron railings near the museum's picnic area causing several  hundred pounds worth of damage.

PC Katie Shaw, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "A group of youths was seen in the area during the time when the damage occurred. I urge them to come forward as they may be able to identify those responsible."
