Dog walker claims he was attacked in Driffield

Humberside Police Statement:

Police are investigating an assault that is alleged to have happened on Mill Street in Driffield at 1300hrs on Bank Holiday Monday – 07 May.

A 31-year-old local man was walking his dog with a friend when he claims to have been approached by a man who was known to him who punched him to the face causing him to fall over.

He was then kicked about the legs resulting in him sustaining a suspected broken nose and an injury to the left knee.

The victim received medical treatment for his injuries at Driffield Hospital but was not detained.

Police are investigating the incident and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault. They should contact police on tel. 101 referring to log 355 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
