Catterick Garrison solider killed on A1

The man, killed after being struck by a lorry on the A1 at the weekend, was a serving solider at Carrick Garrison.

21 year old Kurt Oliver Etheridge, who was from Much Dewchurch in Hereford, was doing his Army training at the North Yorkshire base.

He died on Sunday after being hit by a HGV on the southbound carriageway near junction 58.

The coroner has been informed and an inquest in to his death with take place later this week.
