UPDATE: 5pm (Tuesday 17th April 2012)

Missing Skipton man, Martin Paul, has been found. Mr Paul was located in Cumbria, earlier this afternoon (Tuesday 17th April 2012).

APPEAL FROM EARLIER

Skipton police are appealing for the public’s help to locate a missing man.

Martin Stuart Paul, 47, of Hurrs Road, Skipton, was last seen by his daughter at Skipton bus station at 11.30am on Monday 16th April 2012. He was driving his blue Vauxhall Astra, registration number YD57AOV.

Police are growing increasingly concerned as Martin’s behaviour is out of character. He also has health issues and it is not clear whether or nor he is in possession of his medication.

Martin is white, approximately 5ft 11in tall with a thin build and short fair hair. When he was last seen he was wearing blue jeans, a grey coat and brown walking boots.

Detective Sergeant Alan Browne, of Skipton CID, is coordinating the search. He said:

“I urge anyone who may have seen Martin since he went missing to get in touch with the police straight away.

“I am also appealing directly to you Martin. If you see or hear this appeal, please contact your family and friends. They are desperate to know that you are safe.

“Or, if you would prefer, you can contact the police in confidence. We are simply concerned for your welfare.”

Anyone who can help to locate Martin Paul is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police immediately on 101, press option 1 and pass the information to the Force Control Room, for the attention of Skipton CID.
