A computer genius, who was jailed after hacking into Facebook from his York bedroom, will be freed after winning an appeal today (Wednesday 4th April 2012).
26 year old Glen Mangham from Acomb was jailed for eight months in February after admitting three counts of unauthorised access to computer material and unauthorised modification of computer data.
But today three senior judges at London's Court of Appeal cut his sentence in half.
It means Mangham is immediately eligible to be tagged and released.
