Updated developments with the Melsonby murder case.

Robin Garbutt, the man found guilty of murdering his wife in their North Yorkshire post office, is trying to appeal his conviction.

He was jailed for a minimum of 20 years last April, for killing Diana as she slept in Melsonby.

On 15 May 2012, the Court of Appeal will decide if Garbutt can be given leave to appeal – as yet, no appeal has been granted.

The Court of Appeal will hear new evidence in the case on that date too.
