Calls for at least 1 in 10 people in York to sign up to the organ donnation.
Numbers for card holders are still down despite a mass amount of press coverage earlier this year about proposlas for an opt out scheme.
York Councillor and Labour spokesperson for health Tracy Simpson-Laign has told Minster fm that there is still a huge shortage in the number of people becomming a donor despite the issue get a huge amount of press earlier this year over calls for an opt out scheme to be brought in.
Meanwhile teenagers want to be able to have more say over their bodies when it comes to organ donation. York's first ever member of Youth Parliment Joe Feeney is outraged you now have to be over 18 to be able to carry a donor card.
Joe says the government should give teenagers more credit.
