The developers behind York's proposed new community stadium will showcase updated plans for the development at a public exhibition this weekend.
Oakgate (Monks Cross) Ltd will host a public exhibition of the revised proposals at the De Grey Rooms, next to the Theatre Royal, St Leonard's Place, York City Centre on Saturday 3 March between 10am and 5pm.
A planning application for the stadium and enabling retail development was submitted to City of York Council in September and several changes to the plans have since been made, including the addition of all-weather community pitches and improved landscaping.
Richard France, managing director of Oakgate (Monks Cross) Ltd, said:
"Since the planning application was submitted, we've made a few changes to the proposals.
“The most prominent of these is the removal of the development site to the south of the spine road and the addition of all-weather pitches for community use, which was something that was raised with us by the Council.”
“Other amendments include increasing the areas of landscaping and reducing the car parking numbers on site to 1,340. Visitors to the exhibition will see that the designs for the new retail units are not only well advanced but also are absolutely stunning and give a real feel for the quality that this development will bring to York”.
"I'd encourage people to come to the exhibition on Saturday, have a look at the revised plans and let us know what they think."
