Officers working on North Yorkshire Police’s burglary campaign, Operation Haven, have recovered several items of jewellery during searches of properties in the York area.
Officers are using Facebook and a leaflet drop to help track down the owners of the jewellery which include gold and silver pendants, rings, watches and costume jewellery.
PC Annabel Pickup of the Priority Crime Team, said:
“This jewellery was recovered in the past few weeks during searches of York properties. We suspect it has been stolen and we want to reunite it with its rightful owner.
“I urge anyone who has been the victim of burglary recently to check the photos and contact us if they believe it is theirs.”
Officers will also be delivering leaflets to areas where they suspect the jewellery has been stolen.
Anyone who recognises the items is urged to contact the burglary team at York CID 01904 669867.
