(Updated 5:26pm 27th February 2012)

As the search enters its third week, police in York are continuing their efforts to locate Jordan Sullivan.

Jordan has not been seen since around 9.30am on Tuesday 14th February 2012, when he was spotted near the River Ouse in the Naburn.

Police Community Support Officers have been carrying out daily checks of the riverside in the area where Jordan was last seen.

Specially trained police officers are continuing to liaise with the family to keep them updated with the progress of the enquiries to locate Jordan.

Inspector Jo Brooksbank, of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

“Despite our ongoing efforts to locate Jordan, sadly he remains missing.

“I urge anyone who may have been in the area on Valentine’s Day to cast their minds back and see if they can recall something that could help with this enquiry.

“I would also like to repeat our plea to Jordan, if you see or hear this appeal, please let your family, friends or the police know you are safe. They are sick with worry and desperate to hear from you.”

Inspector Brooksbank added:

“For those who may have been in the area but may not know it particularly well.  The bridge near to where Jordan was last seen forms part of the national cycle way and features a four metre high, wire sculpture called The Fisher of Dreams.”

Anyone who can help to locate Jordan Sullivan is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police as a matter of urgency on 101. Press option 2 and ask for Jo Brooksbank.
