Man's body found in a caravan near Stillington

A man's body's been found on a farm near Stillington.

Police were alerted to Craven Farm at 3.40pm yeaterday afternoon (Sunday 29th January 2012).

They say at this time they're still assessing whether or not the incident is suspicious.

The man, who's believed to have been in his 50s, was found in a caravan near the farm house.

North Yorkshire Police Statement

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said:

”Police were called by the ambulance service at 3.40pm on Sunday 29 January 2012, to a farm near Stillington near Easingwold.

On arrival police found the body of a man in his fifties inside a caravan.

The scene was sealed off to allow police officers to examine the scene and establish the circumstances which led to the man’s death.

A post mortem is due to be carried out this afternoon to establish the cause of death. "
