York drug pusher jailed

Police in York are continuing their campaign against the illegal drugs trade with the imprisonment of Ricky Pilcher.
Pilcher, 26, of Ashley Park Crescent, York, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison at York Crown Court on Wednesday 18th January 2012.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, heroin and crack cocaine, and two counts of possession involving cocaine and Valium.
This result followed the execution of a search warrant at Pilcher's home address on Thursday 3rd February 2011.
Police seized 83.4 grams of heroin, 20.5 grams of crack cocaine, 1.14 grams of cocaine and two tablets of Valium.
Detective Inspector Adrian Gathercole, of York CID, said:
"I want this sentencing to send the very clear message to criminals involved in the illegal drugs trade that when you are caught, the police will ensure that you are brought to justice and face the consequences of your actions."
