York police seek vital witness to Fulford road collision

Police in York are appealing for a vital witness to come forward following a road traffic collision.
It occurred on Fulford Road near St Oswald's church, at around 3.30am on Monday 9 January 2012 and involved a red Kia Sorento, a black Ford Fiesta and a blue Ford Focus.
The collision was witnessed by a man walking along Fulford Road who stopped briefly at the scene. The only description of the man is that he was wearing a fluorescent jacket.
A 32 year old Leeds man who was arrested in connection with the incident has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
PC Adrian Carter, of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:
"I am urging the man who stopped at the scene following the collision to contact the police as soon as possible, as I believe he may have vital information that could help progress this enquiry."
