Thief throws brick through a shop window to get loot

A thief threw a brick through a shop window before entering and stealing wine from inside in Stamford Bridge.

The incident happened at approximately 0200hrs on Wednesday 11 January at the May News shop in The Square, Stamford Bridge.

The newsagents was closed when the offender approached from the front and used a brick to smash the double glazed front window.

Once inside the shop he selected four bottles of wine to the value of about £25 and left.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his early 20s, 6ft tall, slim build, wearing a dark coloured jacket and a red beanie style hat, black tracksuit bottoms with a stripe down the side, black trainers and carrying a black Umbro rucksack on his back.

Anyone who knows who is responsible, recognises the description of the offender or has saw anything suspicious in the area at the time is asked to contact Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 28 of 11 January 2012.
