Strathclyde Police is appealing for assistance from the public and the media in an effort to trace a 48 year old man missing from Hamilton.
48 year old Derek McInulty from Burnbank, Hamilton, was last seen at just after 7am on Tuesday 3rd January when he left his work and went into RS McColl's newsagents on Glasgow Road, Eaglesham. He has not been seen since.
He is described as white, 5ft 6 inches, of medium build, with brown hair but balding, green/brown eyes and wearing a green/khaki coloured jacket, black suit trousers, a blue shirt with the 'Eglinton Arms' emblem on it with name badge, and black shoes.
Sergeant Thomas Eadie of Hamilton Police Office said:
"We are continuing inquiries into the whereabouts of Derek and are becoming increasingly concerned for his wellbeing as time passes.
We do know that Derek had access to his own car, a silver Suzuki Swift registration number SF51 YEU. We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen his car as a matter of urgency so that we can trace Derek safe and well.
Officers in Strathclyde believe that Derek has connections in the North Yorkshire area and think he may have travelled to York in the last few days"
Anyone with information on Derek is asked to contact officers at Hamilton Police Office on 01698 483300 or anonymously on Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
