Man suffers serious head injuries at a North Yorkshire pub

Police are appealing for witnesses after a local man sustained serious head injuries at the Black Horse Pub in Kirby Fleetham near Northallerton in the early hours of Wednesday 21 December 2011.
The 66-year-old man was admitted to the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton at around 1.30am and was later airlifted to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough.
Police are appealing to witnesses and anyone who was in the Black Horse pub in Kirby Fleetham on the evening of Tuesday 20 December and into the early hours of Wednesday 21 December 2011 to get in touch.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on the force’s non-emergency number 101, select option 2 and ask for Northallerton CID.
Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident an is currently in police custody.
