Support your local Post Office
5:39am 5th November 2009
Government officials from across Yorkshire are gathering in Leeds to discuss how the region's post offices can be safeguarded.
The meeting's been organised by the National Federation of SubPostmasters that claims the network remains at risk.
This morning's debate will be attended by North Yorkshire County Council Shelagh Mitchell. She's angry that people seem to be confusing Royal Mail's troubles with their local postmasters, adding the backlog casued by the strikes is not their fault.
Shelagh says says, now more than ever, we need to support our local branches as their trade is suffering as people don't by stamps.
