York Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was injured in a collision on Haxby Road.
The rider of the motorbike, a 43-year-old local man, suffered a suspected fractured collar bone in the incident which occurred at around 5.40pm on Monday 12 December 2011.
He was taken to York District Hospital for treatment but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision which occurred near Joseph Rowntrees School, when the man’s blue and white Suzuki GSXR 600 motorcycle hit an orange Daewoo Matiz. Both vehicles were travelling towards the A1237 at the time of the incident.
PC Mark Patterson, of York police, said:
“I am appealing to anyone who saw the collision occur, or saw either vehicle prior to the incident to get in touch.
“It was a fairly bust time of evening on the roads and I am sure someone will have seen what happened.”
Anyone who can help the police with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police, on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Mark Patterson, or York Police.
