Asbestos related illnesses kill upto 4,000 people every year in Britain.
Now the Health and Safety Executive is launching a £1.2 million pound campaign to protect tradesmen from exposure.
86 year old James Peacock from Pocklington died from Lung cancer back in 2008.
An inquest in August found he'd inhaled significant levels of asbestos dust whilst he worked for Henry Foster Building Products in Northallerton.
