York Film Festival
12:01am 3rd November 2011
Some big names from the world of film making are in York.
It's for a three day festival celebrating independent movies.
Between now and Saturday you'll be able to watch up to 150 films in various locations around the city, including Mansion House and the Merchant Adventures Hall.
The Aesthetica Short Film Festival is a celebration of independent film from across the world, created as an outlet to support and champion short filmmaking.
ASFF takes place from the 3rd to the 6th of November 2011 in 15 distinct venues across historic York.
With the selected films lasting up to 25 minutes, and spanning across all possible genres, from Animation, through Comedy, to Drama, festival-goers can create their own festival experience according to their tastes and schedules.
Festival passes and day tickets are now available to book via the tickets page or by calling the ASFF team on (+44) (0) 1904 629 137.
The Weekend Festival Pass gives access to all screenings across the festival, meaning the passholder has free choice of what to attend and when.
For those unable to take advantage of the access-all-areas pass, day tickets allow you to select the day’s events you most want to attend.
In addition to four days of screenings, there will also be a series of talks with leading industry figures, including Associate Producer of Slumdog Millionaire, Ivana Mackinnon and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas screenwriter Mark Herman.
