A young drag racer died when his vehicle rolled and burst into flames after crossing the finish line of a race in Yorkshire.
Kasey Dixon-Grainger lost control of his 1966 Ford Cortina at 130 mph in front of more than 1000 spectators.
The 23 year old from Billingam, Cleveland died as his family watched him compete in the event at York Raceway, at Seaton Ross yesterday morning.
He had just posted a personal best time at East Yorkshire’s biggest drag racing event of the year.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called, but despite attempts to resuscitate him, Mr Dixon-Grainger died at the scene.
