Child protection measures in North Yorkshire are up to safeguarding standards, according to a tough new inspection by Ofsted.
The hard hitting study was launched by Lord Laming in light of what happened to Baby P in Haringey.
Officers say the number of youngsters with child protection plans has rises significantly in our county since 2008.
Additional resources have been allocated, at a cost of nearly a millon, leading to a council overspend.
Problems with implimenting a national computer system have also been noted affected the speed in which some cases are dealt with.
The council say they've taken all of Ofsted's points on board.
