Man who died on Yorkshire road is named.

The man who died in a collision that happened on the A166 between Stamford Bridge and Garrowby Hill in East Yorkshire on Monday 08 August has been formally identified.

Stuart James Robinson, 20 years, of Pocklington Lane, Bishop Wilton, tragically died at the scene of the collision that happened at 1920hrs.

Mr Robinson was the driver and single occupant of a silver coloured Citroen Saxo that was travelling on the A166 towards Stamford Bridge in the direction of Fridaythorpe, when it was in collision with a silver coloured Mercedes Vito, travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver and passenger in the Mercedes, both Dumfries men, were treated for minor injuries.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision and continue to appeal for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the Citroen Saxo being driven in the minutes prior to the collision.
