The Minstermen appeal to The FA
4:38pm 19th October 2009
York City have launched an appeal to The FA in a bid to get Richard Brodie's 5th caution of the season overturned.
The striker was reported to the Referee by the 4th Official on Saturday, who claim he knocked the ball out of the Oxford Keepers hands and kicked it out of the ground.
The Minstermen claim it's a case of mistaken identity and have a written statement from Oxford confirming that, in their opinion, Brodie was not the culprit.
The issue will be discussed tomorrow and a decision is expected by early afternoon.
