A British Airways captain, accused of murdering his estranged York wife, has been found not guilty of murder.
47 year old Robert Brown admitted to killing his millionairess wife, Joanna, by hitting her with a claw hammer.
He's now been convicted of manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility, along with obstructing a coroner from holding an inquest, and sentenced to 26 years behind bars.
The jury heard Robert Brown had been consumed by anger during his marriage to Joanna, who use to live in Badger Hill in York.
Last October he killed his wife, bundled her body in to the boot of his car and dumped her a make shift coffin in a park.
Today Brown's been acquitted of murder by a jury at Reading Crown Court.
