2:28pm 15th October 2009
A skipper from North Yorkshire, more than twice over the legal alcohol limit when his boat ran aground, has been fined a thousand pounds.
George Wood, who has a string of maritime convictions, had to be rescued with his crew when the Honeybourne3 became stranded near Filey in August.
York Crown Court heard the scallop fisherman had spent the previous night celebrating his birthday in Scarborough.
