Police search for robber biten by dog.

Police in York are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery, when one of the attackers was bitten by the victim’s dog.
The incident occurred on Pateley Place, in the city, at around 8pm on Saturday 26 March when a woman and man approached a man in his early 60s.
The woman produced a knife and demanded that the victim hand over his money and mobile telephone. He was then pushed by the man trying to commit the robbery.
The victim’s dog bit the male robber on the arm. And the man hit the woman with the dog’s lead.
Following the incident the couple left empty handed, in the direction of Sowerby Road.
The woman is described s being around 30 years old, white, approximately 5ft 3in tall with a thin build and blonde hair.
The man is aged in his mid 20s, white and approximately 5ft 9in tall. At the time he was wearing a dark coloured sweatshirt and jeans.
Detective Constable Mo Mohammed, of York CID, said:
“As the man screamed when he was bitten by the dog, I am sure that someone will have heard him and ask that they contact me as soon as possible.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who knows a man who has recently suffered a dog bite to his arm or may have treated the injuries for him.”
