Catterick Garrison ATM targeted

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information after thieves targeted a cash machine at Catterick Garrison.
The incident occurred at the ATM on Hildyard Row - known locally as the "white shops" - between 4am and 5.50am on Friday 18 February 2011.
Officers were alerted by an engineer who had attended the scene following the activation of the ATM alarm.
The offenders used cutting equipment to break into the machine and made off with an amount of cash.
Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
DC Chris Burton, of Richmond CID, said:
“I am appealing to anyone who spotted any suspicious activity or vehicles in the Hildyard Row area early on Friday morning – the 18th of February - to come forward as soon as possible.
“Even the smallest piece of information could prove very valuable to the investigation.”
