World War One granade found in York

North Yorkshire police are reassured residents in York a hand grenade found in a property on Gordon Street is not dangerous.
A cordon was set up as far afield as Heslington Road and Wellington Street earlier this afternoon as the Bomb Disposal Team secured the area.
The devise was confirmed as a World War One grenade, but it was empty and therefore safe to handle.
