12 year old A64 crash victim named

Police have now named the boy who died in a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on A64 in West Heslerton yesertday. (Monday 24th January)
He was Alexander John Bradley, who was aged 12 and lived on Scarborough Road West Heslerton.
The inquest is expected to be opened and adjourned later this week.
Alex's mum and dad said:
"Alex was the most wonderful son, brother and grandson. He is loved by many and will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
"Alex's family would like to commend the emergency services for their relentless efforts to save Alex."
The family ask that their privacy be respected at this time.
Phil Loftus, Head Teacher of Norton College, where Alex was a pupil, said:
"As a school, we are mourning the loss of someone so young and full of life. Alex was a very popular pupil and friend to many.
"Since he arrived in year 7, it was clear that Alex was a very bright and able pupil. He settled quickly and made friends easily. He was popular with his classmates and well liked.
"He often displayed maturity beyond his years and was always helpful. He engaged totally with all aspects of school life, academically and practically. Before the start of the school day he was often found helping out on the school farm and wanting to take part in sporting activities.
Alex will be sorely missed by his friends, classmates and teachers at Norton College.
"Everyone at Norton College is devastated and we all wish to convey our deepest sympathy to Alex's family.
