A confiscation hearing against 53-year-old Michael Augustus Rollo Pain will be heard tomorrow (20 January) at Harrogate Magistrates' Court  (York Crown Court sitting at Harrogate).

Michael Pain, the son of Lady Denys Pain and the late Lieutenant-General Sir Rollo Pain, was jailed for three years in March 2010 after defrauding his mother out of almost  £460,000.  

The confiscation hearing under the Proceeds of Crime Act will seek to recover assets and cash which Pain benefitted from as a result of his criminal activity.

Pain lived near his parent's home, Eddlethorpe Grange, Eddlethorpe near Malton, North Yorkshire.
