A teenage driver from Stokesley has been jailed for three months and handed a lengthy four year ban after causing a serious crash in February.

18 year old Thomas Lees was found guilty on two counts of dangerous driving and one of using the vehicle without insurance.

He was driving his mother’s Porsche Carrera 4 along the A172 when he lost control, veered off the road and rolled into a field.

One of the three female passengers in the car sustained serious injuries in the collision.
