£10,000 Reward for Claudia RENEWED

£10,000 Reward for Claudia RENEWED

6:08pm 1st October 2010

A change of fortune in the Claudia Lawrence case.

After a £10,000 reward for information was dropped earlier this month, the crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers has now confirmed it'll be renewed for three months.

Crimestoppers’ Director of Operations, Dave Cording, said:

“Following North Yorkshire Police’s recent application to renew the enhanced reward on the Claudia Lawrence case, I have granted the £10,000 reward again for three months in the hope it will assist with their ongoing lines of enquiry.

"I would like to reiterate Crimestoppers’ guarantee of anonymity – no one will ever find out your identity as we do not take any personal details of the caller and we do not trace or record calls and you will not go to court. So, if you have information about Claudia’s disappearance please contact Crimestoppers, all you have to do is pass on information and your part is then over. Your information could help solve the case – please do not let the uncertainty around her disappearance continue.”

Detective Superintendent Ray Galloway who is leading the investigation into Claudia’s disappearance, said:

“The Crimestoppers charity have given the investigation tremendous support since the day we announced Claudia’s suspected murder.

“We are extremely pleased that they have agreed to renew the reward again and extend our gratitude to the charity for their continued support.

“The investigation remains active and lines of enquiry continue to be pursued. The reward offers an incentive to anyone out there who has yet to come forward with the crucial piece of information which will lead us to solving Claudia’s disappearance. It offers us a vital tool with which to boost the flow of information into the investigation and for that we are very grateful.”

The reward is available for three months, commencing today (Friday 1st October 2010.) The reward is offered for information provided to Crimestoppers that results in the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for Claudia’s disappearance.
