North Yorkshire MP fights job cuts ear marked for Yorkshire
11:13am 3rd September 2010
A North Yorkshire MP has called for RBS bosses to reconsider job cuts ear-marked for Yorkshire.
Andrew Jones has arranged a meeting with local reps to try and stop the closure of offices on Cardale Park in Harrogate.
It comes a day after the bank announced it was to axe around 3 and a half thousand staff across the UK.
The lender - which is part-owned by the taxpayer - says the cuts are being made among service centre and IT staff.
