Woman attacked on Fishergate in York

A woman's been indecently assaulted in the Fishergate area of York.
In the early hours of Sunday morning a 25 year old local woman was walking home from a friend's house when she noticed a man had followed her from Tower Street onto Fishergate.
The man allegedly grabbed her from behind and lifted up her skirt.
She shouted and he ran off.
The suspect is described as white, aged around 24-years-old, 5ft 7in tall with a medium build and short dark brown hair. He was wearing a smart white shirt and black trousers.
PC Richard Sanders, of York Police, said: "This was obviously a very distressing experience for the woman involved and we are keen to trace the man responsible.
"It was a race day, so it would not be unusual for a number of people to still be around at this time of night. If anyone saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, please contact the police or Crimestoppers.
