Childhood obesity in York adressed

A feasibility study on child obesity in York is being commissioned by the city's council.
James Alexander chairing a Health Overview meeting this afternoon to tackle the issue of obesity in York. He's says with a third of youngsters in the city overweight the financial pressure on the council and the NHS is great.
It wants to identify a solution to tackle the issue as it's costing the authority and the NHS thousands each year.
A third of youngsters are currently overweight in York, with officials particularly concerned about primary school kids.
