An arrest's been made in connection with a brutal assault on a Pocklinton motel
Yesterday we brought you the story of Michael Brown, a man from Pocklinton who was brutally assaulted outside the York motel he manages.
He was left blinded in one eye as a result of the incident and had a fractured skull.
We'll today, with the help of Minster FM's appeal for information, Humberside police have made an arrest.
A 20 year old man from South Killingholme in North Lincolnshire has been detained.
He's currently being questionned at Scunthorpe Police Station.
Detective Inspector Colin Waddington from Beverley CID said: “I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who called in with information following yesterday's emotional appeal. We are very much in the early stages of this investigation and a lot of work still needs to be done.
"I still need information to come in from members of the public who think they may have witnessed the red coloured Vauxhall Corsa, recognise the person in the Electronic image or have any information, however small or irrelevant you think it might be, it could be the last few pieces to the puzzle we need to bring this inquiry to a successful conclusion.
"Once again I would like to thank all the people who have contacted the police in the last 24 hours, the amount of calls received have been tremendous.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Humberside Police on 0845 60 60 222 quoting log number 371 of 04 August 2010.
