A man from Acomb could face a jail sentence for his part in football violence in the city earlier this month.

36 year old Darren Leigh Cummings was charged with being aggressive towards Hull City supporters at the Punchbowl Pub,  ahead of their pre-season friendly on July 17th.

Yesterday (Wednesday 28th July 2010) he's pleaded guilty to using insulting or threatening words and behaviour.

He's now been released on bail but warned by magistrates he could be jailed when he returns to court on August 23rd.

His offence carries a maximum prison sentence of six months.
