Network Rail bosses get controversial bonuses
6:15pm 21st July 2010
Heavily criticised six-figure bonuses for York based Network Rail bosses have been approved at the company's annual meeting.
That's despite rail union calls for a "no" vote.
37 of Network Rail's members voted in favour of the bonuses, while as many as 31 voted against and 9 abstained.
The performance-related bonuses for top directors totals two-and-a-quarter million.
They include £641,000 for chief executive Iain Coucher.
