York soldier Joe Glenton is freed

A York soldier who was jailed for refusing to fight in Afghanistan is expected to be released later.

Joe Glenton refused to return to Afghanistan as he opposes the war, so instead of fighting went AWOL 3 years ago. He handed himself in after two years and six days' absence.

Joe Glenton was sentenced to 9 months in a Military Prison in Colchester he's being released early because of good behaviour..

Joe's wife Claire and Mum Sue will be there to greet him along with members of the Stop the War coalition.
