York's Budding film makers hoping to be the next Stephen Spielberg or George Lucas will be commended at the Knavesmire tonight.
The Yoscars are taking place at the racecourse complete with limos, red carpet and giant golden statues.
Kids, aged from 3 to 16, have all been submitting short films or animations and we'll find out the winners this evening.
Yvonne Methley, who is behind tonights event, told Minster FM: "The aim of the event is to promote the ongoing development and creative use of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in our schools.
"The films will be judged by an independent panel and representatives from the top three entries in each category will be invited to attend the award ceremony. It will be a glitzy event, just like the real Oscars, and should be a really fun evening."
