Could York be a World Heritage Site?
Well that's what officials hope will happen as the Government draws-up a list of UK places meeting the criteria.
You might think that because of local historic landmarks, like the Minster and the Bar Walls, it's a foregone conclusion.
But no, the deciding committee say the list already has plenty of walled European cities with a cathedral on it and its demanding more from us.
York's archaeological background is leading the application.
