New plans for York's first competition standard swimming pool in Heslington have been unveiled by York Uni.
The project originally stalled due to a funding gap, but now these latest proposals claim to reduce building costs.
We're told, £1.4 million pounds has been saved by changing the location to stop land preparation costs.
It means the site will now cost just under £9 million to build - £7 million of which is already secured.
The Uni's told Minster FM they're hoping the council will stump up more cash so construction can begin next year.
